I just installed two of these; one in the freezer and one in the fridge. I also installed an Icetech Co W10515058 ceiling light (2 pin) as some YouTube reviews and videos strongly recommend it. So I spent a little over $200 on 3 new light blocks for my Kenmore, which is about 6 years old. I suggest watching a video on You Tube how to install them; Pulling out the old blocks is the hardest part. Connecting the new unit and reseating it was a breeze. I used a very thin, flexible spatula to remove old blocks that were either blinking or not glowing at all. Be sure to unplug your refrigerator before replacing it with a new one. Some stories say that if you install it with the power on, you can fry the device. Total replacement time for 3 units was less than 20 minutes including removing some fridge shelves. I don't like spending over $200 on lighting when it used to be just replacing a lightbulb in an appliance for about $3 back. But I figured the fridge should last another 6 years so I'm happy and so is my wife. In general, the quality is in no way inferior to the original lights.
