Still Valid: Body Repair Tools

I've been pleasantly surprised by the SPTA 1200W 110V polisher that I've been using for over two months. There are no assembly instructions, but it's not hard to figure out. The tool has a slow start up to full speed, which is nice since you don't have to deal with sudden torque. I've used it almost every day on clocks with a variety of scraping, prep, and polishing drums (including Eastwood's) on projects ranging from stripping project cars to restoring brass furniture, and it showed no signs of engine fatigue. In general. This is a great tool and I'm very glad I bought it! I would give five stars if it weren't for two things. First, it's the general noise. The instrument itself is loud. Neighbors on the street will hear you. However, earplugs or a headset are fine. Secondly, this is the lack of protective packaging during transport. The tool came in a thin box. The accessories were loosely secured inside, crushing a set of spare motor brushes (which were in a small, free-floating plastic bag). Overall this isn't a show stop but I would appreciate everything arriving safe and sound.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not everything fits
