Review on ๐Ÿšด Enhanced 4000 Lumens USB Rechargeable Bike Headlight with LCD Power Display - Super Bright Front Light for Cycling, 8 Modes, IP65 Waterproof, 5000mAh Battery, 12 Hours Runtime by Emanuel Guffey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good light but lost within the first two minutes of the ride. :-(. Be careful with assembly.

Bought two of these lights to work as a symmetrical pair on my electric scooter's child bar. Good news: the light looks bright, durable, multifunctional with digital display and even is potentially useful a handheld flashlight. I really like the flashlight itself and its form factor. Would fit perfectly for the intended job BUT. Bad news: After reading reviews that the light can be easily lost due to a questionable mount and found that the lantern can be mounted on the bracket from back to front which does not result in a secure latch, I was sure I wouldn't lose mine. Others attributed the loss to operator error/reversed wiring. I was very wrong. After the installation with awareness and great care to obtain a positive lock/release ten by just pressing the side button and testing it, I definitely lost a new light within the first two minutes/10 blocks of the city ride Be sure to get that positive click on the mount which should keep the light from slipping off, which the reviewers warned about but lost the light anyway. (I quickly returned to try to find it after realizing it was missing, but was on my way to work and couldn't take long to find it under parked cars etc. My loss.) . I slammed myself for not tying the new headlights to my car in advance, but it really shouldn't have been necessary. I'm rating the flashlight itself 5 stars and the mount 1. So 3 stars overall. Partly because I still have a light/half pair I bought I paid to back-order another unit with the intention of tying them to my trip now so they can't get lost again; and can run a strip of gorilla tape along the bottom edges where the lights meet the sliding mounts to keep them from sliding off on their own. Extra work to keep it attached but love the light and still have half a pair. So I buy another one and try to get it working. I use black eye straps and small carabiners to make lantern straps. I will add a photo to this review once the new light and details are ready. I recommend anyone who buys these lights to tie them on to avoid loss. We are sorry to say that the ties are not secure, so please tie them tightly to avoid losing. Posting this review is not intended to shed the light on what appears to be a solid product, but to encourage others to take steps to avoid losses due to a loose bracket. Make some fishing line or thin cable line and connect the lights to your car so they don't fly away and disappear like mine did.
