Review on BISSELL Febreze Aeroswift Replacement 11621 by Fred Reid

I bought a Bissell filter to fit on my vacuum cleaner exhaust to filter dust particles so they don't get back into the atmosphere (obviously so far). Judging by the information on the website, the filter had to fit my vacuum cleaner model. Imagine my surprise when instead of the expected foam sleeve that would fit around the air cleaner outlet in the cyclone, I got a rectangular piece of foam that didn't fit anywhere in the air cleaner. Also, there were no instructions on where to place the "filter". I checked the vacuum cleaner and found nothing. BTW: I am an engineer by training and experience and have dealt with similar devices throughout my career. Needless to say, I sent this not-so-useful piece of styrofoam back. PS I was wondering why Bissell doesn't seem to be selling these foam sleeves that can catch dust that doesn't collect at the bottom of the cyclone - that's how dust collects in a shop vacuum. So far I've made one of these filters out of a piece of highly breathable paper towel and two rubber bands; and it collects dust that would otherwise escape.
