I have been buying this product from door to door sellers for years and believe it or not I have only bought this 3 times as I have only used it to remove stubborn stains. After seeing the reviews on Amazon I thought maybe it doesn't work any better than dollar store cleaner or vinegar. I've never used vinegar to remove stains from carpets because I didn't want to fight the smell, even temporarily. I first used this black light cleaner to remove long term, deep seated urine stains on my dogs. Stains on my carpet that I cannot see with the naked eye. By spraying the stains under a black light, the urine stains will immediately appear less visible or barely visible. I soak the stain with eco-orange diluted with 1 part of the solution following the instructions on the bottle, the rest with water in an old spray bottle. I use a towel to dampen the stain through the towel and immediately smell fresh urine that makes me sick. Upon lifting the towel and looking at the spot with a black light, the spot completely disappeared. So yes it works. Carpet stains are removed with a simple spray. Mine has had the stain build up over the years and has completely ironed out like it never happened.
