I've had this item for a few days and have only used it to test multiple items. I love the fact that you can just use tap water, but you can use additional chemicals if needed. For my purposes I only use tap water. I cleaned the braided necklace I have in Tennessee in the summer because of the humidity and heat, I feel like I need to clean this necklace about once a week. I put it in a basket of tap water and it came out shiny, no complaints. I also put in my engagement ring with a similar result. These two items were worth the money I paid for them. Then I tried on the glasses just to see what happens. To be honest, I put two pairs of glasses in, they were reading glasses, they both fit. I was able to cover them with water on recommendation and let them sit for five minutes. I do not recommend making your glasses this way. When I took off my glasses there was film on the lenses. I found it wasn't there before, I can't tell you what it was, it was just a hazy film similar to what you sometimes see on a glass shower door. It kind of reminded me of watermarks, but I actually had to get eyeglass cleaner and clean the lenses when I took them out to peel off that film. So my jewelry recommendation was successful, but I wouldn't recommend it for glasses.
