Great pedal for pedals and cleats

I switched from Raceface Chester (RFC) pedals to Alston pedals on my Yeti SB5.5. Fit and finish of the Alston (A) pedals are perfect and the bearings turn surprisingly well. The bearings in Alston pedals are way better than they've ever been in the RFC. I rode my RFC about 700 miles and lubricated the bearing once which helped a lot. The A-cleat studs don't stick out as much and the pedals aren't as sticky as the RFCs. A is also aluminum which makes it smoother than RFC which is a polymer. I don't really have a problem with the RFC, except that bears don't roll that easily. On my travels I've noticed how much better good bearings feel. They don't put any effort on the A pedals. The A's are great pedals but not as sticky as the RFCs. I did about 21 miles on the A without slipping, so I don't really think it would be a problem, but I could add a few more bolts, or at least buy longer bolts for the A pedals. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one set of Alston pedals and actually buy a few more as a backup. The Alston is a few millimeters wider than the RaceFace Chester. I think both pedals are great, but the Alston pedals are around $25 so you can't beat them. RaceFace Chester costs about $40. I think the Alstons are about as good as any $100 pedal. I will try to update this with further trips. I would add a photo but I don't know how.
