When it comes to athletic shoes I'm hard to please. So far this shoe has been one of my favorites. I normally wear a size 9 1/2 but I ordered a size 10 1/2 to make room for a quality set of arch supports. These are generally wide shoes anyway. So if you don't have a wide foot, a normal width will do. This shoe has good support but I needed something more. The insole is not very thick, so I highly recommend putting your own insoles inside. I think I've ridden them 30+ miles since I bought them and haven't had any issues with my feet so far. For the price these shoes are a bargain, I might buy another pair while they're still in stock.
