Review on 🔒 Enhanced Safety with Cardinal Gates Stairway Special Gate in Sleek Black Design by Julie Clark

So here's the TLDR review: Extremely solid construction, one of the few gates I've found that can be completely removed with the brackets attached to the wall for example contractors /moving stuff/etc, and also one of the few that lets you adjust the angle up to 30°* which is a great feature even if you *think* you don't need it. Fuller Review: I have a toddler and a house with a second level and basement and there are no doors requiring gates that were well made and difficult to open to prevent the child from entering. This gate accomplishes all of those goals and once you figure out how to unlock it, it's easy (see my how-to video). Pros: All metal construction, good hardware, no plastic anywhere, meanwhile the gate can be easily removed while the brackets remain on the wall. . Relatively easy installation, only 4 holes in the walls. Gates can be mounted at angles of up to 30*, which is a great benefit for walls that aren't perfectly flat or if you have various moldings on the underside of the walls that can pose a problem. Cons: I don't think you're getting value, I think it should be closer to $50, but I suspect you're paying for a superior product with a few features that others can't match (at least that's what I found then). The instructions are missing tips on how to set/adjust the gate level to get a super easy latch/release. I've seen some videos/photos from other reviews and I'm sorry but this is user error during installation. Below are installation tips * First mount the bracket to the wall, make sure you align it so that the rod is as straight as possible (the other bracket doesn't need to be level, see why below) * Fix that gate, the rod and the key ring to latch it (this is important, otherwise you could raise the gate further than the key ring allows and you will be screwed in after installation), another gate side bracket and secure it. Basically install everything as if it were locked THEN it's time to figure out how/where to install the other side or you're going to have a very frustrating day. uneven walls. It's a pain because you don't know until you level it. Then you need to remove it, adjust the eye hook(s) to your hole and proceed to install/remove the key hook. If you look at my photos you can see that one eye hook is screwed out further than the other to allow for a doorway that is not quite ideally positioned (walls are rare). I also showed in the photo that the bracket was not flush with the wall so I had to adjust it. wall and make sure the latch has enough room to be lifted/removed AND lowered without force (always remember to attach the key fob). If your gate just won't fall down and latch, you've done something wrong. You can also easily adjust the sliding gate up/down (before attaching with hex screws) to really fine tune it. spin it Remember, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER THIS HOLDER IS A SCALE, it just needs to be secured and adjusted to any angle for the latch to open easily, lower and snap into place instantly. Check out my photos and my short video. how to open it and how easy it snaps into place. If yours doesn't, the gate isn't angled enough to allow for this. You may need to adjust the eyelet hooks, the sliding part of the sensor with the Allen screws and finally maybe the angle of the bracket on the opposite wall. I know it's been a long time but I'm trying to help everyone else to make it as easy as possible. because it really is a phenomenal goal.
