This part works great for me. I hope this review helps others. I changed my gas cap to a locking cap a few years ago during a time of high fuel prices to deter theft. I have never used the lid lock feature nor have I ever drained fuel from my vehicle. I lost the OEM cap and regretted it. I finally got tired of putting the gas cap on the bumper when filling up!
