Very sturdy and leak proof, my biggest complaint is you have to take the cap all the way off to get it to work and it's something small you have to not drop or misplace. Makes the flow super fast at that point, be ready to over fill your lawn mower in a split second. Wish it had a little more variable flow, it's all or nothing though.

I bought four of these for two, 5 gallon Diesel containers, one, 5 Gallon gasoline container and a two gallon gas/oil fuel container. They work very well to increase fuel flow allowing much faster fill times. Installation is very easy and very quick. The metal cap covers are not the same size as automobile valve stem caps but I do not find that to be a problem as long as none of the four get misplaced. I would buy again.

I was skeptical about how easy it would be to pull the internal component through the tank using a wire. However, installation was a breeze. The wire used for the pull is stiff but bendable. The hole drilled into the tank was large enough to easily pull the inside part through, but small enough for a solid seal. Well-designed product. The caveat is that you have to be pretty deliberate about installation or you could get leaking.When pulling the main body of the vent through the tank wall, make sure that it's pulled as far and as straight as it can be. When you add and tighten the outside gasket, make sure that it's flush and not distorted by the pressure of the collar and nut that hold it in place. If you hate the slow flowing ventless gas cans that are nearly all you can find these days, these things will change your life!

Be aware the Scepter gas cans have " FMD " flame mitigation device. Your choice if you wanna remove this to install the vent cap. Just a heads up before you buy these.

I like these because they’re made of metal instead of plastic, for about the same price. So far they have worked well. No leaks, and the gas pours a lot faster now

I have a steel Jerry can that vented through spout and was messy. This really helps to pour easier.I showed how to snug up the stem with double nut. Just remember it’s an o-ring inside so just enough. Borrow a nut from extra stems in package.

Ease of install depends upon the gas can, but it's fairly straightforward. Because the retaining bit on the cheap, yellow button caps quickly fails, the fact that there is not retaining bit on these caps is fair.but having one would make it a Five Star. Because you screw the cap on, it's not going to pop off somewhere. but if you drop it in the wrong place, you'll want a metal detector to find it.at least, that's now a possibility. Got tired of holding my gas and Diesel cans for minutes. Waiting for the gas to drain into the tank. This solves the problem. I mounted it a little off center because the seams in the can might effect the o ring.What a difference in filling my ride on mower and tractor. No spilling due to tired arms.

I love these things but a word of advice. Think about where you will be putting them before hand. Think about where the gasoline will be when yo turn you can over to pour. You don’t want it coming out of these when you pour. Not all cans are created equal, but these are lol.

Received today, Installed in 2 5gal. Tanks. Was very easy to install, well made. Have not filled the takes yet, but looking how there made and how it goes to together I have great faith in it. Will see.

On some thicker jugs you can not tighten enough to get the cap to seal. The cap bottoms out on the nut before the cap seal touches.Also hard to hold assembly when tightening the nut.Better off using steel tubeless valve core assemblies.

I have installed them on four recently purchased plastic cans and really appreciated how easy the installation was. I look forward to many years of service from them.

Update 4/29/21I just returned from desert trip. my two 2.5 gallon containers now work like I want them to. By leaving the vent caps halfway unthreaded, there was none of the bloating, oilcanning, shrinking. The cans are secured to a shelf on,the back of the vehicle, left out in the daylight and there were 40degree temperature swings, up to near 90 degrees. I have drill bits, wire and wrenches but this kit gave me the perfect drill bit for a snug fit, wire stiff enough and just the right diameter to fit the vent opening and a nice little wrench that fit the thin locking nut. The stickers that remind you to close the vent were a nice touch. I was able to install vents in minutes instead of wasting time trying to track down tools and wire. Fishing the wire in the tank was kind of a fun game.

Wish I would have had this product years Go. Very well thought out installation kit that made the installation both fast and fun. Now my 7 each 5 gallon gas containers pour quickly and store safely. Wonderful product.

The bigger yellow ones destroy your gas bottle when they rot, this one is small enough and leaves room for future repair, will buy again and again !

This item is made of high quality material. The instructions are detailed and right on point thus making the installation a breeze. This product enabled me to revitalize two poorly designed five gallon gas cans that were not properly vented. After installing this product the vacuum that was created by pouring the gasoline was vented and allowed me to fill my lawn mower in a few minutes without the "glug, glug" created by the vacuum. The gas can vents are well made and the installation goes quickly. They work well but the caps need a lanyard so that they don't get dropped or lost. The package comes complete and they are easy to install. Overall very well thought out.
