The caveat is that you have to be pretty deliberate about installation or you could get leaking.When pulling the main body of the vent through the tank wall, make sure that it's pulled as far and as straight as it can be. When you add and tighten the outside gasket, make sure that it's flush and not distorted by the pressure of the collar and nut that hold it in place. If the gasket is squeezing out from under the collar, it's likely that the main vent body is not pulled out all the way or not completely straight. In that case, you'll likely get leaking at the vent.My suggestion is that you put water in the tank and check the integrity of the seal around the vent before putting gas in.
