The Marriage Saver(tm)

My wife is on a mission. She hates it when people don't turn to turn off the lights when they leave the room. She is also very good at walking around the house, turning off the lights and making sure the abuser notices her displeasure. She may be the empress of the light switch, but even a dumb husband like me knows it's frustrating. That's why I call it Marriage Saver(tm). It's easy to install, but make sure you have a neutral wire in the switch bracket. It pretty much fell right into the bracket of an old light switch (but turn off the power first, okay?) and was common sense. My main problem is with the module. I had to rearrange some of the cables in the bracket as the module is quite thick and takes up more space than a standard switch. I also don't like how you have to use DIP switches to set different modes and such. Luckily you can adjust the dips after setting the switch, but it's still a little fiddly and you'll need to keep the manual handy so you know what the different dip settings are. I really like the angle of coverage on this one. My brother has a similar switch in his house, but it only has 90 degree coverage, which is a bit disproportionate for the room. You can enter the room and have to walk a few meters before being spotted. It picks you up much quicker with this device. Another difference is that if you sit still for a few minutes, the switch won't recognize you and turn you off. So far I haven't had this problem with this device. I don't know if this is a function of the sensor or something else, but it didn't turn off for me while I was still in the room. It's in an office where I often stand almost still in front of a computer, so that doesn't mean I don't try. our numbers. However, it occupies a full standard mount, so it won't work in a multi-switch setup. However, for replacing a single switch in a room, it does what it's supposed to do.
