I ordered this model extra because I wanted it because it has multiple points for height and angle adjustment, space for the keyboard underneath and it looks like it will keep the shape I chose. So far so good, time will tell if it holds its shape, tk. I don't use it 100% of the time. The only downside I can think of is if your laptop is a bit thicker because the front edge is pretty modest. So I can imagine thick laptops (or if you use them for a thick book or stack of papers) that can slide on a vertical lip. But so far it's been great for me
