Car: 2014 Ford Taurus Limited front doors I use these with the Alpine SPR-50C 5 speaker Kit / 14". The adapter fits perfectly in the door opening. When I put the speaker in the adapter, I used 4 clamps where the speaker screws in so I can hold it in place nice and tight. It's hard to explain, but the area where the screw enters is open-ended. If you use a large screw you could probably grab it, but I used a smaller clip screw. I put the clip on the adapter, one hole on each side. Then I screwed the clip into the clip.
