Every 30 minutes at one and a half past one, "Incoming callβ flashes on the display if there is no such call. It happens day and night, 48 times a day. I try to look on the bright side as it's a reminder of what time it is. Otherwise no problem. As others have said, the sound is actually a bit "tinny". As if the high frequencies were boosted higher than most phones. It doesn't bother me, seems to be a matter of taste. The back cover, which must be removed to replace the battery, covers the entire device. I suspect this gives a smoother look, but since it's a thin, curved piece of plastic that's 7 inches long, I think it could easily break. Incoming call update: I contacted Motorola support. I've been told these phones are analog (see the many FCC public bulletins that now exempt carriers from providing analog land line service). Analog phones in the digital network are mostly compatible. But it's not 100%. Some features do not work or are unreliable. It all depends on the provider's infrastructure. For me and others using Verizon FiOS (and possibly other ISPs) there is an issue with the incorrect "Incoming Call" message flashing every 29 minutes and 55 seconds. There is no solution. Otherwise it's a good product, but if that bothers you, don't order or return it, Motorola is aware of the defect and will catch up over time.
