Review on CPU cooler Deepcool GAMMA ARCHER PRO, black by Boyan Bambekov ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not worth the money, I will not advise this product.

I took it in a hurry, right in the store, when I picked up the i7 4770K OEM, remembering that I do not have an LGA1150/1155 mount for Scythe Shuriken. (Prior to this, the shuriken was on AMD A10). I really wanted to try out a new stone. Prots was taken under the render. As a result, one disorder. i7 4770K - this pebble is cold only in everyday tasks. With 100% loading of the cores by Max, under overclocking, it only heats up. With this Archer Pro at idle 38-40 degrees. When rendering, even without overclocking, with a simple turbo boost, it heated up to 85 degrees. With moderate overclocking to 4.1, throttling and blue screens began. I sinned against the processor and its thermal interface, thought about scalping. But I decided to start with a really good cooler. Took Noctua NH-D14 - THING! ! With him already satisfied with the processor. Long rendering of any scene under overclocking 4.25 is not a problem! The maximum that I saw was 70 degrees and only on one core, after 20 minutes of rendering. Conclusion: maybe on cold stones for everyday tasks and it will do. Under hot stones definitely - NO!

Pros
  • - cheap - This product prompted the acquisition of a good Thing. see comment :)
Cons
  • - Small area of contact with the processor. The result is poor cooling. - Thermal paste in the kit immediately in the trash. - Reliability of fastening is questionable
