I didn't read the reviews so I didn't realize the winch would be fitted upside down. It wasn't a problem for me, just unexpected. I just installed it myself (although I installed the mount, then the winch, then the pulley and the instructions say to put the mount last, but it turned out to be a lot more difficult). There are many complaints about screw holes and U-bolts, but everything I've ever used with U-bolts required a bit of tweaking. I secured one side with a washer and nut, then pushed the other side far enough to unscrew the nut and tightened with a socket wrench until there was no room for the washer either. 3 of them I was able to place by hand this way, the 4th took a bit of hammering to get it far enough through the holes. FYI, fairlead pin pattern will not work with fairleads that come with the Badlands 2500lb winch. I had to purchase a separate clew that would fit this mount. But the mount is solid and looks a lot cleaner than the mounting plates I've tried before.
