I changed the factory transmission filter at the same time I added the Magnefine filter and replaced almost all of the transmission oil. After driving about 40,000 kilometers, I examined the filter. I was surprised how many metal particles stuck to the magnet. In addition, the filter material contained a significant amount of sand. Since it is installed after the factory filter, I believe Magnefine has prevented the sand from recirculating. I'll switch earlier next time. It's a little painful to change. I had to make the hoses a little longer so I could reach them more easily.
