Review on πŸšͺ Lizavo DS-002 Stainless Steel Modern Magnetic Door Stop with Soft-Catch Feature, Brushed Satin Nickel Finish, Wall Mount by Anna Reed

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Average Holding Force 15 pounds

They are very well done. Unlike other magnetic latches, they are not prone to free rebound when the door hits the striker at high speed. The holding power is just enough to keep the doors from slamming in the wind, or to keep the door from swinging unless the hinge pin is vertical, but not so strong that the door is difficult to close (which as can be set for others). noted). I set it to 10 and then measured the holding power of each. The force with which each individual sample was pulled out was reproducible to less than 1 pound. The average load at which they were pulled out was 15 pounds, a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 22 pounds. Some variability has to do with how well the two parts align; I was able to increase the holding power of some of them by repositioning Part B (the smaller part that attaches to the door), but not all. My guess is that they were all set to a perfect 1/8 inch alignment prior to the measurement.
