Review on ๐Ÿพ Majestic Velvet Suede Pet Stairs: Comfortable Foam Pet Step for Dogs & Cats, Puppy & Kitty Ramp by Randy Olson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Brown is DARK, rich, beautiful and modern. Ideal for dogs up to 20 pounds. Cover made of pleasantly soft material with zip.

Okay, I'm really glad I checked the color of the chocolate (and that someone here helped and posted a photo) because the color is COMPLETELY MISSING - by a long shot. The actual color is very, very dark, rich brown, very rich - in the photo it looks like an average, kind of yellowish brown. I've attached a photo of the original so you can see :) The steps look great - the most beautiful view of any step we've seen. We sent the rug back as it looked much better. The dark brown is great, modern, and doesn't stand out (we have a dark brown bench next to it, which helps :) It REALLY shows more pet hair if you don't have a black or dark brown pet, but it easily suffices. Brush and I prefer to brush a little more and have a nicer color! It's a bit slick, which looks nice, but may cause some slippage for larger dogs. Which brings me to my next point: BIG TIP: They're a bit light, great for getting around BUT they tip over for every dog around 10 pounds unless they're right in the middle. It also slips on tile or smooth surfaces so we put a matching sized rug mat underneath and it works GREAT! We also have double sided industrial Velcro that attaches to the back of the bed - this part prevents tipping over and the mat prevents sliding. You can attach it to a bench, furniture or whatever, but I suspect most people will have it next to their bed or sofa - you can use fabric velcro to attach it to the material if it's a sofa. FUNCTION: As long as it's foam, it's pretty firm, but gets a little flat. This really should ONLY BE USED FOR DOGS WEIGHING ABOUT 20 lbs or less! Maybe a little more depending on the dog, but a lot more and they will start tipping/gagging too much. The steps are a bit shallow so big dogs have a hard time. Our 20 lb spaniel does fine with this - sometimes he slips a little off smooth surfaces and shallow steps, but he doesn't slip or fall, just a little less grip. She still uses them voluntarily with no problems or hesitation :) But then again, any larger dog might have problems - 20 pounds or so should be the max. well made, looks good, material of good quality, but not worth 75โ‚ฌ. It's a piece of styrofoam with a lid - as nice as it looks, that's it :) I bought ours on sale for about $52 and there are a few stock deals here and there - $50 is the right price for them. But they look great, and it's rare to find a modern set with a nice dark finish, so it's worth a bit more. All in all a really nice set and a great dark rich brown that is not easy to find. Highly recommended for dogs under 20 kg!
