I wanted to use an old flat screen I paid for at Best Buy years ago to watch YouTube videos in my garage. This is exactly what I did with this article. I bought a Google Chromecast to connect to a Tendak device, from there I connected the VGA side of the Tendak device to the VGA port on my monitor. With the monitor connected, power and Presto! I watch Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and HBO in the comfort of my garage. The Tendak unit also has a headphone jack, so I bought a simple analog cable (red and white) with a headphone jack on the end and now ran audio through my stereo receiver. I get great video and stereo sound and it's all junk you can find on sale, all bundled with this unit. And I control it from an old smartphone that my friend wanted to throw away. Convenient and recyclable. Not to mention affordable!
