I don't understand what's going on here - I've seen gold and shiny blue wireless car chargers several times and noticed that everyone else also said "infrared sensing" or something. So one assumption I made was that it would be - I don't think so. I'd say I'm sure, but how do you know? Another "conjecture" was that this charger wirelessly charges devices. but I probably assumed that because I read it in the description. And the NAME of the product. I am delighted with this item. Thank God I also ordered a completely different style and didn't have to fiddle with it after about 1 minute. If you still want to spend the money, get one that you know will charge your phone because you can see it plugged in WITHOUT having to plug it in anyway. since the importance lay in wireless charging.
