Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed

Let's face it. This is an inexpensive indoor/outdoor thermometer. Measurement stability can be a good thing when monitoring something like air temperature, but this device seems too slow to respond. While the specs state that the temperature data is updated every 10 seconds, I've found that it can take up to 10 minutes to display reasonably accurate temperature readings. Most readings compared to my Thermapen are within the specified +/- 1.8°F (1.0°C). The attached photo shows a bigger difference, but I live on the California coast and the sea layer (fog) was moving and so the temperature dropped. The same does not apply to humidity measurements compared to the local weather station. While I can't make a direct comparison, the outdoor humidity reading is off by about 15%, which is well above the advertised accuracy of +/- 5%. Unity will work for you. If you need better than 1.8F accuracy, look elsewhere.
