Pros: Quality construction with durable parts. No vibrations during installation. The quick reset button is practical. Cons: The length of the ventilation clamp could be longer. I recently bought a 2015 Honda Civic. In my state, mobile device use must be hands-free while driving. This means I can't use GPS maps while holding my phone. So the search for a suitable assembly device began. That's when I came across this useful thing. The device allows for three attachment methods: a suction cup that attaches to the dashboard or possibly the windshield; and two versions of vent clips. I've experimented with the suction cup mount and found that it attaches fairly firmly to the dash. There is a slightly sticky substance on the suction cup that makes it easier to stick the suction cup on. I then switched to the clip-to-vent method and I liked that approach too. There is a knurled screw on the ventilation grille that covers the clamping jaws. While the clip ends in a small protrusion designed to grip the back end of the blinds, for my machine the jaw wasn't long enough to reach the back end. Tightening the thumbscrew will close the jaw with more force to secure the clip to the shade, even if it's not hooked to the trailing edge. Of the two methods, I liked the simpler look of the clamp rather than the suction cup swing arm. Each of them worked well and I think it all came down to the aesthetics. I found the clip style to be stable while driving. There is no swaying or jerking when driving on paved roads at different speeds. The device fits snugly around my phone, which detaches quickly and easily with a button on the side of the device. There was no interference between the mount and the charging cable, which I plugged into the bottom of the phone. There is a swivel mount between the mobile phone and the chosen mount that allows the user to orient the phone as needed. The bracket can be tightened just enough to keep the unit stationary at the desired angle. The hardware is pleasant and haptically reassuring - there's no lack of quality. Overall I'm happy with my choice. This is exactly what I was looking for. Five stars.
