Review on 🍳 Toxin-Free Ceramic Metal Utensil Dishwasher: 5QT Blue Diamond Saute Pan with Lid by Black Miller

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Lasts 6 months with very careful use

My first pan didn't even last a month. I returned it within the return period and asked for a replacement thinking maybe I didn't clean it properly and it ruined the finish. The second pot I took good care of and hand washed every time and it didn't even last 7 months. In fact, the coating is now peeling off the underside, leaving a shiny film on my fingers when I touch it. hey I haven't even used it to sear meat like I usually do with my T-Fal pan. I've only used Blue Diamond for making wet dishes like Spanish rice and penne vodka. I suspect that at some point when there wasn't enough liquid in the pan, the coating came right off the pan. If I tried to brown meat (like I do with other slow cookers) it would spoil immediately. I hate this pan. It is unusable and was a waste of money. As many reviews say, the non-stick coating is great initially, but once the pan is hot it tends to come off unless there's a lot of liquid in the pan. POOH. Terrible purchase. I wish I'd just returned the first pot and gotten my money back, but I was desperate for something "non-toxic" which probably isn't even the case since I've probably already swallowed the oddly shiny finish.

Pros
  • Pots and pans
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
