This is a great pair of shoes! My 4 year old wore it during our week long trip to Yellowstone. During this trip it snowed, it rained, then it got very hot and dry. In fact, we survived all 4 seasons in one week. These shoes are waterproof and will keep your feet dry when it's not raining. The traction was fantastic and my son rode the whole area really well. He easily climbed wet wooden stairs, wet and dry asphalt, rocky paths, muddy paths and dry dirt roads. The only remark is that they are really narrow/small. I originally ordered an 8.5 which is half a size larger than his feet but had to return it as it was too tight for him. Be sure to order one size larger.
