Review on Tripp Lite PR40 DC Power Supply - 40 Amps, 120V AC Input to 13.8V DC Output - TAA & GSA Compliant by Reza Cook

This Tripp Lite is a very good amp, 4 stars out of 5. It delivers a highly regulated voltage of 13.8 volts suitable for radio communications. It's a bit heavier than other models of the same size (40 amps), it doesn't have a meter, and the power switch on my backlit one failed in less than two weeks. Also, TL could use a multi-terminal transformer on the secondary at minimal cost. Reduced to a simple 3 position switch, this would allow the selection of 12 13.8. and 15 volts. (Not every radio uses the regular 13.8.) I don't regret choosing this brand, though.
