Excellent computers and accessories

I had some confusion during the delivery. But only 2 days late. The product works great. More power than I need to drive a car stereo and 2 quad amps with all the speakers and a 12" subwoofer. I check all sound devices before installing them in the car. Great product, great service.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • flimsy

Reliable performance best in computer components

This Tripp Lite is a very good amp, 4 stars out of 5. It delivers a highly regulated voltage of 13.8 volts suitable for radio communications. It's a bit heavier than other models of the same size (40 amps), it doesn't have a meter, and the power switch on my backlit one failed in less than two weeks. Also, TL could use a multi-terminal transformer on the secondary at minimal cost. Reduced to a simple 3 position switch, this would allow the selection of 12 13.8. and 15 volts. (Not every radio…

Ideal for amateur radio! Great linear power supply

Great for my ham radio setup! I feed 3 plants from it, all work at the same time. (100W FT-450d, 45W TYT UHF and 60W Icom IC-2300 VHF). It feeds them perfectly without noise. The only downside is that it draws a lot of standby power (around 45W), but I guess that's to be expected for a linear (non-switching) power supply.

Housing cover does not sit well - rattles during operation

Hmm, as soon as I turned the unit on it said it was rattling. When I pressed lightly on the top of the case, the knocking stopped. Bad selection. It can be seen that the gap at the contact point between the upper part of the housing and the front panel is of different widths. Now I have inserted a thin piece of plastic neatly between the front panel and the case cover. How long it stops rattling - who knows. A bad landing is a big disappointment. After working with the stock for a few days I…

Second week of very infrequent use and performance died

Set my drive to around 18 amps. In the second week of very light use, the power output died. The fuse is not blown and the lighted power button is still lit. Opened it up and found no live components or internal fuse. I sent it back for a replacement hoping to get the best of another device.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
