Make sure everything is connected correctly. This is a good budget amp. Since this is a cheap amp, the power rating is overstated. 30 amp fuse 30x14.4 = 432 not 1000 watts but for $50 you can't get any better. The two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are that its power rating is too high, and because the gain control is made of very soft plastic that curves slightly. Other than that, this amp is great. I use it to power 2 Autotek 5x7 and a Skar 10" subwoofer. If you use a subwoofer make sure you connect it to the correct impedance otherwise the amp will constantly overheat, go into protection mode or fuses blown. I connected the sub to a 2 ohm bridge and after about 30 minutes at full volume it overheated and went into protection, after connecting to 4 ohms the amp almost no longer heats up. Take the time to learn how to hook up the amp and speakers, this is a great little amp with great sound quality.
