RECOMMENDED (with new device and additional verification)

Edit two weeks later - I can recommend this speaker in advance. I've had it for almost a month now. To be honest I didn't listen to him as much as I probably should have. But today I switched it on and was pleasantly greeted with good sound. Maybe going away for a few days to clear your ears was a good idea lol. Stereo is one of the main reasons I liked this one. For some reason the mono speaker just annoys me. Clear sound for bass and treble. I haven't seen any head-to-head comparisons of portable Bluetooth speakers in stereo mode. My comparison goes back many years when I had my own stereos and had been listening to music since I was a child. I'm upgrading from one star to four for the following reasons (5 stars require longer life and I was very confident about durability): I was sent a new one that worked flawlessly, the customer service was good. This works very well as a TV speaker. Just plug the auxiliary cable back and forth. Please note that you cannot control the volume remotely. You have to get up and adjust the speaker manually. Yes, with a Bluetooth connection you can, for example, control the volume of music playback from your mobile phone. Turning on the volume option (extra bass) is what I will do every time. Please note that every time you turn it on, the volume will reset to 50% and the volume option will be disabled. I've been listening to music all my life, the extra default setting gives a much better balance to problems, no matter whether it's loud or quiet, but especially at low volume. The living room is 20 feet by 15 feet above the conversation level. 50% is a good volume and you can have a conversation. Going from 70% to 100% is actually a lot like turning the volume up 40-50%. From 0% to 70% it's like normal car acceleration. 70 to 100% will be like stepping on it to pass a Mack Truck LOL. If you're listening to a blues song, the bass guitar will sound clear, and the guitar, symbols, conga drums, and other travel essentials will sound just as clear. Bass tuning is needed at lower volumes to add some depth. In fact, it still sounds good. Don't compare pre-80's recordings as they (many to most) were recorded with less bass. As you start to get into the 80's, 90's and 2000's the bass gets a lot richer. The bright red volume LED (much brighter in the "Bass" option) is still annoying when it's in front of your face. I cover it The crackling noise I heard on a song was duplicated on another Bluetooth device, so I don't think it was this speaker. I suggest disabling every app equalizer. I think my spotify app caused heavy volume compression, this loud quiet loud quiet annoying max volume problem. --------- Check two weeks before -------- Not recommended. I've had stereos and music my whole life. My first impression was generally good but has since deteriorated. The first one I ordered was dead on arrival. First off I would say the overall sound was good. I actually did a whole video review but maybe I just won't post it. A few days later I got another one and my son listened to it. He rated it as lousy because at maximum volume the volume would fluctuate up and down. I just tested it a few minutes ago and it had the same problem with volume fluctuations. By launching the Spotify app without modification, the speaker produces high treble. You should always have the only option checked, turn the bass on or off. It's a big bulky item deep inside. It has a handle that's oddly forward-facing and won't let your hand wrap around it. The fingers are pressed against the plastic in a strange way. It's quite heavy, looks well built, I mean it can float in water. But who will? Your 15 year old who likes to hang out in the pool every now and then? I've noticed that if you want a good boomy sound, you should turn it all the way up. The first one I had sounded good but only worked when connected to mains power.
