That was then :) that is now :(

The first thing that intrigued me about this item was its appearance. It turned out to be very similar to the Nikon SB 910 in design and size To send to Nikon for repairs I was willing to risk $80 for this flash I used it on a body A D600 It worked very well Good color balance Quick recycling with a set of AA Sanyo Eneloop batteries I try to avoid direct flash when this is possible.By various bounce positions when shooting in TTL mode and manually adjusting the power, I achieved about 400 flashes in a dimly lit large ballroom. The diffuser dome that came with the flash fits perfectly, which also influenced my decision to buy this flash What to try is that it has a zoom range of 18mm to 185mm and variable power settings from fully zoomed out to 128. Performance in 1/3 increments had increments. It also has two slave modes and worked great when tested as a remote unit. My only complaint about the flash so far is that when used vertically with the flash head rotated the flash head sometimes moves out of position, it's heavy. I had no trouble using the flash horizontally. The body that comes with the XTDF260N is also impressive and will likely sell for $20 if sold separately at a camera store. UNIMPRESSIV was the instruction manual that came with the device. It was to be written by a fourth-grade Chinese who couldn't speak English. Spelling and grammatical errors on every page! Well it's a joke! How does a manufacturer not care that someone checks the context before sending a product for distribution in a foreign market. So here's the gist! I used it once at a paid concert. I was very happy with its overall performance, I went and ordered a second device. Time will tell how good this flash really is, how durable it will be. If I run into problems in the future I will provide additional feedback. So apart from the joke of the user manual due to the first use and its features I have to give the Xit XTDF260N 4 stars. Well, my Flash friends, it's been 16 months. It was good while it lasted. During a fairly quick fashion show shoot at low 16x the capacitor must have taken a hit. My Xit module, which I really liked, is no longer flash. Warranty supposedly 5 years. Let's see if it gets fixed. I'll let you know.
