The hook you sent me was not what I ordered. The "thread" consisted of just two parallel lines about an inch from the end of the handle. Even the photo on the box it came in showed a matching color hook but a completely different handle style than the one in the Revain description. PLUS it wasn't solid purple wood as advertised, but a multi-layered composite of three different types of wood. VERY disappointed but will keep to add to my crochet hook collection as not worth sending back. ALSO others should be warned that the wood finish was far from perfect and was rough enough to snag or snag. Yarn. I had 1,000 grit sandpaper on hand, so I made sure: HOWEVER, the size markings (pretty important info when planning a crochet project) were so lightly stenciled on the side of the hook that this light sanding completely erased the writing. So no stars in terms of quality and no stars for not sending the hook I actually ordered; I'm giving it two stars because it's a functional, indefinitely sized crochet hook.
