Review on ๐Ÿ’ก GE UltraPro Surge Protector 2-Pack with Audible Alarm & Outlet Extender - White, 1080 Joules, End of Service Alarm, Warranty by Steven Barbon

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It appears to be the only surge protector designed to be installed behind a refrigerator.

I like that it is specifically designed to connect to an electrical device and has an audible signal instead of a light signal which would be useless. I recently had a problem with a subsystem containing a compressor. This failed, possibly due to surges from a thunderstorm in the Central Florida area. It was probably a $20 part, but the labor cost raised the repair to $200. Hope this problem doesn't occur again. I will update the review if there is anything to share.

Pros
  • Stay protected. No longer wondering when the surge protector has expired out of reach, because with a single outlet GE wall filter, the alarm will sound until it is unplugged from the wall.
Cons
  • Reliability
