Thanks to Dell and their primitive OEM motherboards, I can't get the advertised 1600MHz as the system automatically reduces it to 1333MHz. There is no XMP option in the BIOS, nor can I manually configure it with the Intel Extreme Tuning software. Pretty frustrating as the RAM that came with Dell ran at 1600MHz so why on earth it's slowing down I don't understand. In the end, doubling my RAM from 8GB to 16GB solved my gaming problems for several modern titles, so I'll just live with the speed issue until I can build my own rig.
