Simple fix to an annoying problem
My Waste King info says my 3 bolt model doesn't have a replaceable fender. Perhaps that is why there is a slightly larger version on offer. This just fits on the top of the drain. Just slide over the old one. I thought it might catch particles, but that doesn't seem like a big deal. You can easily remove it to check and clean. Sometimes it is necessary to push chunks past the guard. Of course, a good water jet must be used when grinding. Maybe your fender is removable. You just have to find the right size and rest.
