Exactly what I wanted and beautiful to look at!
After watching all the cooking shows on TV and how they keep salt and pepper in containers so you can take them out and sprinkle them, I decided I had enough salt and pepper shakers. It is exactly what I was hoping for and looks beautiful. Only criticism is that the lid just sits on it and isn't airtight, which of course makes it easier to quickly remove the lid to get salt or pepper, but I don't know if the salt starts to stick together.
