Review on 🔋 Ridgid R86008 Lithium Cordless Drill: Power Packed and Includes Essential Accessories by Ryan Sandell

I've been using this drill extensively for about 8 years and haven't had a single problem with it so far - the lever to change the speed range has broken. No problem; The drill is covered by a lifetime service contract, which is somewhat different from a warranty. One thing that helped sell me on Ridgid was the lifetime service contract (registration required), although it doesn't come with a replacement. It offers lifetime parts and service at many Home Depot stores. Bottom line, you pay an advance of $30 to cover damage caused (in their opinion) by abuse, neglect, or anything else that clearly stems from your incompetence. But in the absence of these conditions, the deposit will be returned. At least that's what they told me. I'm sure it will eventually find its way home but I haven't seen a drill in 8 weeks. While it's a great exercise, I haven't been without it for 8 weeks now (and still going). The R86008 sold here is identical to my broken unit, it only took 2 days to ship and will be the perfect backup for my drill's next longer vacation. To be honest, if I had known about this $37 deal before sending the original in for repairs, I would have just thrown it in the bin. The time and effort I went through just to get the original on its way to service is worth more to me than the $37 I spent on this replacement which btw works great and comes with everything what a new block in a box does, other than battery or charger.
