I tried two other brands of ultrasonic trainers (which didn't work at all for my dogs) before buying Modus on the advice of a friend. This stopped them from barking the first time and after 3 days they think twice before even barking. The added flashlight function isn't very useful as you can't turn it on without activating the ultrasound, but you can use the laser pointer without activating the correction. Fun for my cat but dogs don't seem to like it. And now that the dogs even see the device, they're getting a little shy, so now they understand that their behavior can provoke a reaction. All in all a great product for its intended purpose.
