Review on 🌧️ Columbia Men's Glennaker Lake Rain Jacket: The Ultimate Waterproof Companion for Men by Caleb Eichbauer

Bought this raincoat for my teenage son. Part of me wishes the raincoat I bought for him had more substance, but that's not the point of a spring raincoat. It doesn't have a soft lining because it shouldn't be. We live in Virginia which usually (not this year!) has few warm/hot spring days but heavy rain. So even your lightweight hooded winter jacket will be too warm for this weather, but a spring jacket that doesn't keep out the rain won't work either. We hate lugging around umbrellas, so this lightweight hooded raincoat does just the trick. I bought the Columbia thinking I might own it for years to come as it has been through all of its major growth spurts and there aren't usually enough days in our area to justify buying a new one for every year to buy a growing child. It's also compressible/packable, so I'd recommend he pack it in every duffel/suitcase he packs for a trip, as a "just in case" item that takes up so little space and so little weight adds. Your luggage that you are grateful when you need it and you really don't mind taking it with you even if you don't need it.
