This case looks solid. It has a hard plastic shell with a rubber sleeve, and another hard plastic piece snaps on the front to hold the tablet in place. The rubber is thick and spongy and sticks out in all the right places. The kickstand is good but I wish I could lock it more securely in the open position. There are small rubber flaps that you can open to access the USB port and headphone jack. The one for the headphone jack only accepts narrow plugs. I had to rummage through my cable box to find a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable that would fit in the small speaker next to my bed. If your headphones have a plug body that's more than a few mm larger than the plug itself, you'll need to pull out the rubber to insert it, assuming it's not large. Note: This is not designed for a waterproof case. This is for corner and rear impact protection only. If your tablet falls on its front, the rubber bumpers on the corners prevent the screen from hitting a flat surface.
