. I was going to use them to hang pictures but ended up using them to attach Ikea plastic boxes to the perforated panel system in my sewing room as Ikea stopped producing the Pluggis line. I had crates but left the mounting bases in our old house when we sold it because they were attached to the pegboard before fitting - meaning I would have to remove them after removing the pegboard - which hasn't had to happen since we sold the house while I was spending the winter in Miami, and I didn't want to bother with it anymore. So I had all the Pluggis hanging boxes but nothing to hang them on until I noticed they were almost the same thickness as the Pluggis bases. And the holes in the perforated plate also matched the holes in the spikes - so WIN/WIN.
