carbon lasts about 3 weeks
in a non smelly home the charcoal part of the filter lasts about 3-4 weeks on low. Re changing it in the sun is only somewhat effective? needs a low temp bake to desorb the VOC's from the carbon but doing that indoors in the oven would melt the plastic and put the VOCs right back in the house.
