I have to admit that I saw 3 ports, 2 x 2.1A and 1 x 2.4A for $8.99 and bought it just because of the price. I didn't have high hopes for this little plug. I expected it to be cheap plastic and decided the silver would be crappy chrome plastic; Also, I expected it to output 5 volts on all 3 ports, regardless of actual compliance with advertised power levels. I was wrong. dead bug. And I'm very happy with that. The silver is actually milled aluminium, the black plastic is very high quality and well made, the contact springs are *extremely* strong so there is good electrical contact in the socket and all. I have it plugged in (multiple phones, headsets and various tablets) it seems to report a full charge even when all 3 ports are in use (yes even with 3 tablets plugged in). The device is lightweight. to. I haven't tried taking it apart to confirm, but it does tell me that there's powerful electronics inside, another indication that it can safely handle the claimed power levels. While this plug has a blue LED light and we all know how blindingly bright they can be, PowerBot seems to be aware of this too and has hidden the blindingly bright LED behind a very small hole in the aluminium. Thank you PowerBot for that! The hole is small enough that the LED does not appear too bright even at night, but large enough that the LED is clearly visible in direct sunlight; In short, they did it. I paid a lot more for a lot less quality. In fact, I never expected such quality at this price. If you have $8.99 and need a USB charger in your car, even if you only need 1 port, *this is the charger you need*. Serious. If I'm a little fanatical about a basic USB charger, let me explain: I want to promote more products of this quality from this company, and I want to do my best to ensure that a company that makes this level of quality does so Price *stays in business*. I also want more companies to follow PowerBot's example. When this happens, everyone wins!
