I am very, very happy with these shoes. My son who is picky about shoes wears them. We got them cheap, which is even better. He's not rough with them. He plays football and sometimes tiptoes. So he doesn't play with them like some kids do. He's a soft kid. I can't say anything about durability. They will make good athletic shoes at school. The width options are important to me. What put this shoe on my shopping list. My son usually prefers Nike or Etnies skate shoes. These are wider and flatter shoes. I bought a wider one that he puts on and takes off himself. I bought these as play shoes but will be ordering them again for athletic shoes ahead of the school year.
