I'm not sure I understood what to measure to match the design. The steps were about 5 inches wider than the previous steps. So I flipped the outriggers so they were facing the other way and on opposite sides. That gave me enough room to add steps. I had to drill a hole in the frame for the outrigger to make up the difference (the outrigger flexed when we banged the original steps against the rock, shifting the steps to the point where they needed to be replaced). back in shape. I'm a 74 year old grandmother and only got a little help installing it. I used pry bars and "things" to support the steps while attaching them to the jib. The steps are working great now and we are glad that Steps Back My husband and I are under 150 pounds so we have no strength issues.
