Review on 💻 Enhanced Stream Control with 32 Customizable LCD Keys: Elgato Stream Deck XL for Windows 10 and macOS 10.13 or Later (10GAT9901) by Michael Hogate

I liked the Stream Deck while it worked (with one BIG exception that I'll mention at the end). Last night it started flickering and restarting every few seconds. I wiggled the USB connector a bit and even cleaned the connections on the PC and cable. That seemed to fix it, until tonight, that is. I turned on the computer and the stream deck booted up as usual, but then it just went blank. I was able to briefly flicker the screen by moving the cable. I think it's a short at the connector end of the USB cable. I have a deck next to my laptop and it never moves. I'm far from an experienced user, so I can only assume that the cable barely worked from day one. I will do everything in my power to obtain a replacement under warranty and will update this review if necessary. Another issue that's been a problem since I've had it: When I boot up my laptop, the Stream Deck stays with the Elgato logo until I turn the deck off and on again. It's pretty annoying. UPDATE: I completely forgot to update this review. in time. I received a replacement stream deck and it works great. Thanks to Elgato for solving my problem relatively quickly. In the time since my original review, I also replaced my PC and the logo stuck issue is gone. I don't know why this happened but I'm not the only one this has happened to as a google search will reveal. This is not a very common problem and there doesn't seem to be an answer as to why this is happening. I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars. Due to initial problems I do not give 5 stars.
