Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Avia Avi Verge White Medium Men's Sneakers - Shoes and Fashion Sneakers by Chad Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love these shoes but buy good insoles.

I never liked the idea of spending more than $100 on a pair of running shoes. Also, I have wide feet. So these shoes fit me. They cost around $25 and they come in plus sizes. They are comfortable and look decent. I remember Avia was big in the 80's; Robert Parish wore Avias. I always thought cantilever soles were a great idea. This means that the outsole of these shoes has an indentation in the heel area for cushioning. Avia must have had some problems and now they make cheap shoes. You (sort of) get what you pay for: the rubber soles wear out pretty quickly, and the memory foam insoles aren't great. But for $25, you can change them twice as often as you would an expensive pair of sneakers and still stay ahead. Here's the key: Buy good insoles and replace the insoles that come with those shoes. On the occasions that I've bought expensive sneakers, I still change the insoles, so this isn't an extra charge for me at Avias. (I know what type of insoles I like, but I won't list them here because I know people might accuse this of being a secret advertisement for this insoles company.)

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • No performance
