I bought these for myself for the holidays. I am an avid cook and use my oven at least twice a day. I had really crappy potholders, all cloth and stained. What made them appealing was that they were coated in silicone to keep spills and accidents from staining the beautiful fabric. I've used them at various temperatures (350-500) and haven't felt any heat. I really thought they would be taken apart for washing but the lining is sewn to the silicone. Although I don't think it will be a problem. Excellent pot holders and I really liked the pattern of the fabric!
