That worked great. Without them I would never have pulled the valve. I saw a similar product online used with a drill press but it cost $200. I bought a 1" connector fitting with a slightly larger diameter than the valve (1" I think) and used it between the faucet and the puller to pull out the final end of the valve. It was really sticky. Once the valve was removed installing the new valve was easy and wow no more leaks. The entire project took just over an hour, including a trip to Home Depot to install the clutch.
